February 2nd Thar She Blows, Oh the rare old whale mid storm and gale in the ocean home will be , a giant in might where might is right and King of the boundless sea: Herman Melville. The wind was just right for us to parallel this beautiful Grey on her way to San Ignacio Bay to give birth. She didn’t mind at all that we sailed along with her. We timed her breaths & dives then set our course so that we did not disturb her path. And it worked out just perfect, Loving it on the Bueno.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Then we hear the wave break on shore, it lulls you into a relaxed state. We are all content to just listen and sail, what’s there to say anyway…….it can wait. A special day, reminds me that there are many reasons to love sailing.

They shared many happy memories as we sailed in light and variable winds, smooth seas and sunny skies to the horizon and back. It was extra special, they smiled the entire time, so much so that I began smiling along with them as they sailed down memory lane; Jim often sailed to Catalina Island, sometimes in an open 14 footer, some boaters would hail them along they way and ask ” are you OK ? ” and he laughed aloud at that !! Jim is a real adventurer that loves the sea, Heather inherited this “sparkle in the eye ” and the love they share was a treat to sea….. I’m looking forward to doing the same someday with my kids when the day comes. Congratulations Heather and Jim, smooth seas and fair winds to you both and thanks for a wonderful day on the water.
